How that compares
Most desktop database clients gate core features behind a paid tier. TabulaSQL doesn't.
| TabulaSQL | Typical paid DB client | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | Free trial, then paid license |
| Connections | Unlimited | Often capped on free tier |
| Data editing & export | Included | Sometimes pro-only |
| Open source | Yes (MIT) | Usually closed source |
| Telemetry | None | Varies |

Frequently asked
It started as a personal tool by pimvdmolen.nl to replace database clients that were either paywalled or overloaded with features I never used. Keeping it free and open source means anyone can use it, read the code, and improve it.
No. There is exactly one plan: free, with every feature included. If that ever changes, existing features will stay free - a future paid tier would only ever add optional extras on top.
None. No account, no telemetry, no usage limits, no watermarks. The project is released under the MIT license, so you can even fork it if you want.
Star the repository, report bugs, contribute code or documentation, or just tell another developer about it. You can also support development via the Buy me a coffee link.
Pick a driver in the connection form: MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or a local SQLite file. Connect, browse, query, and edit all four. MySQL and MariaDB still have the deepest schema tools (indexes, foreign keys, routines, and a user manager). Minimum versions: MySQL 5.7+ / MariaDB 10.4+. Tested during development against MySQL 8.4, MySQL 9.7, and MariaDB 11, plus PostgreSQL servers and SQLite files.
